Tryouts and Playoffs
Posted by admin | Filed under Personal
So today was All-County Honor Band tryouts which were located at Baker High School. As a tuba player, I know that there are not that many good players, especially as good as me, and I expect to rank high in chair, and in the top band. So how did my tryouts go? They were about normal. It wasn’t perfect, but it sure didn’t sound half as bad as some others who went before and after me, so my hopes are still high.
Anyways, tomorrow is the International Festival, and I will be participating in it as a French Dancer. We have been practicing for a couple weeks, and I hope - and know - it will go well. Besides that we are touring some muesems here in Mobile, so it will be a cool day.
Despite the International Festival, tomorrow night in the third-round of playoffs for the championship in the AHSAA. This is the first time since I have gone to Murphy we have made it this far, and we are up against staunch rivals Davidson High School, who we came back to beat earlier this year. The good thing going against us in momentum, and the fact that we haven’t lost at Ladd-Pebbles stadium this year (knock on wood). So we hope to keep the winning going. When we do win tomorrow night, we will most likely play Prattville High School at Ladd next Friday, and when we win that game we will more than likely end up playing Tuscaloosa High School at Legion Field in Birmingham. Wish us the best of luck, because Prattville is the top team in the state, and Tuscaloosa High School (where University of Alabama - the number one college team is located at) isn’t a pushover either.

MHS Panthers Off To The Third Round
Posted by admin | Filed under Personal
Out of my high school career, my high school football team has not made it past the second round in playoffs, even though they have been a pretty good team. Tonight has change that record, as the Murphy High School Panthers beat out the Theordore High School Bobcats 27-26 in a close battle.
Me being a bandmember means that I go to the football games, and I am one of the teams biggest fans, and possibly the loudest person in the stands. I hope the football team contiues winning, as next week is a rematch again close rivals Davidson High School Warriors, in which we beat 48-45 in the regular season.
Go Panthers!
(Not to say my college team, University of Alabama is still ranked Number 1!, Roll Tide!)

If you read the parenthesis then you would of notice that I myself customized this theme! Indeed I did, and it was fun, and easy, and I think it looks cool (and yes I can see the watermark-like image… it wouln’t let me change the color, oh well…).
Anyways, I will be posting the latest happenings with me, as well as some stuff like philosphy, political ideals, etc., so it will be all cool. I hope you all come back and keep visiting, as this place will be host of many different post, catagories, etc. so everyone should enjoy bits and pieces.
